Video of the Year 2023: Gregory Isaacs "Live At Brixton Academy, 1984" // The Best Lovers Rock Reggae!

This is my favorite video on YouTube!! It's got almost 4 million views and half of them are from me!

Gregory Isaacs at his absolute best! This is the pinnacle of his career right here!

Lee Scratch Perry "Heart of the Ark" Excellent Roots Rock Reggae

Lee Scratch Perry was such a unique and creative individual.

Definitely the punk rocker of reggae!
How absolutely perfect of him to produce "Complete Control" by the Clash!

Video: Lee Perry performing at Joe Gibbs Studio in Jamaica

This is superb! We have the late, great Lee "Scratch" Perry singing "Daniel" live in the studio from maybe 1979 or so.

Get into it!
Unity is our strength, NOT diversity!

Video: "Bunny Wailer - Live 8/2/1997, at the Reggae on the River Festival"

A beautiful live show from Bunny Wailer! This "video" is audio only, but it's a soundboard recording and sounds excellent, although I prefer some crowd noise.

Video: "BURNING SPEAR Live June 17, 2023 in USA"

He's been going since the early 1970s!
I was a small toddler when he began singing and joining together with different players of instruments to spread the message of Love, Justice, Jah, and Peace.

Gregory Isaacs "Pardon Me!" Full Album

A great Gregory Isaacs album from the 1990s I think. The man recorded over 72 albums, at the minimum. I love this guy they called "The Cool Ruler!"

EEK-A-MOUSE "Live at Long Beach 1983" Audio Only--

Here is an old EEK-A-MOUSE live recording from 1982. He may or may not be backed here by ROOTS RADICS, as they backed him on his first few recordings. And the ROOTS RADICS also backed every other reggae artist in Jamaica!

"EEK-A-MOUSE Mix"-- Jah Rastafari

Enjoy!
EEK-A-MOUSE was a genius in his earlier days!

Bob Marley's Greatest Songs Audio Mix Jah Rastafari--

It's always the right time to listen to Bob Marley! Bob was half White & half Black. His White British father abandoned him & his mother because he was a coward and unwilling to fulfill his manly duties. Thank God Bob didn't inherit that character defect from him.  Bob could've chosen to hate White folks and hold a permanent resentment against the entire White race, as a descendant of slaves and also having a White father who dipped out on him.  I most definitely do not think he did whatsoever. In fact, he refrained from degrading & belittling talk about White people, vis a vis the White people alive today who abhor the idea of slavery and of course have never owned slaves. That wasn't his m.o. He wanted to elevate Black men & women, not stomp down on other racial groups. He wanted peace, unity, and the dignity of every man and woman on earth to be recognized & respected. He wanted a just world where common sense and justice prevail. He never asked for nor talked about "special rights" or anything outrageous or beyond the pale.
I want the same things for everyone. The Black race, White race, the Asian race, every ethnic & racial group is a child of God. We should love each other even in situations where we don't LIKE each other.
Of course, I don't know his private talk or everything he said, and he is a human being like everyone else, a man who often fell short, has faced temptation, and experienced anger.  Nobody should be judged on things they may have said in anger or in jest or because they had bad information. Bob Marley's good far outweighed any bad charter defects or thinking he may have had.
He brought people together and encouraged people to NOT use violence! His music was his weapon! But his music, when it hit, you felt no pain at all.
In the end, he joined the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and re-converted to Christianity!! God bless your soul. I have no doubt that you are with the Father in heaven.

One of the best mixes here! But really, how could you go wrong with a Bob Marley mix?!

One hour of the Best Roots Rock Reggae Jah Rastafari--

This is a terrific mix!
One of the best!
It flows nicely, with boss reggae tunes. It is how I first heard "Black Roses" by the highly talented Barrington Levy.
