Some Books I've Recently Read of Acquired--

"When Saint Francis Saved the Church" by J.M. Sweeney. A neat little book I ordered several months ago from a distributor of icons and church goods, including a bunch of discounted books. I love St. Francis! I took the name "Francis" when I got confirmed in the Catholic Church twelve years ago.

"Hunt for the Skinwalker" by C.A. Kelleher, Ph.D. & G. Knapp  (I'm halfway through and it's better than I thought it was gonna be!)

"Hybrid Humans: Scientific Evidence of Our 800,000 Year-Old 👽 Alien Legacy" by D. Fenton  (A self published book that is surprisingly informed!)

"May a Christian Believe in Reincarnation?" by Abbot George Burke (Swami Nirmalananda) ----> I'm learning a lot about this  priest/bishop of the Liberal Catholic Church. He's basically a Gnostic Priest who has adopted & adapted pieces of dogma from Hindu sects. Look him up, see for yourself. As for me, I'm keeping an open mind.

"Abba Dorotheos of Gaza: His Letters & Various (sic) of His Sayings" by The Most Reverend Chrysostomos, Metropolitan Emeritus of Etna.  I really dig this small Eastern Orthodox Christian publishing outfit, Center for Traditionalist Orthodox Studies (C.T.O.S.). They publish an informative, no-frills religious journal that comes out three or four times a year, Orthodox Tradition. Most of the books that they publish are short, 100 pages or less, but they are very informative & specific. I've ordered from them and they have also sent me free books & a subscription to the magazine/journal. I believe they are "Old Calanderists." A small splinter sect of the Orthodox Church proper.

"The Lives they Left Behind: Suitcases from a State Hospital Attic" by D. Penney & P. Stastny.  Oh boy, this is an interesting and very sad book. The authors found several suitcases and belongings of patients from a mental institution. Along with files & in-person interviews, they piece together lives of said patients. The end result is this very depressing book. Though when I read an individual biography, I'm left feeling happy & hopeful. Like by me reading and thinking about these people, I've helped to keep their memory alive. Whoah!! How do I get uplifted from reading a Debby-downer of a book! I don't know, check it out for yourself and telle what you think!

"Melkites: Greek Orthodox and Greek Catholics of the Patriarchates of Antioch, Alexandria and Jerusalem" by Ignatios Dick. This is published by Sophia Press, the publishing arm of the Melkite Catholic Church. Fascinating & edifying stuff here! I just learned, a measly ten years ago or so, that there are MANY other Catholics besides Roman Catholics! These sects are in full communion with the Pope of Rome, yet each church maintains their own "flavor" so to speak. Many of these churches even have priests that can marry a woman! Melkites, Maronites, and several others that escape me right now.

"Life, Miracles, Prophecies of Saint Seraphim of Viritsa" translated by Fr. Nicholas Palis. This publishing company, Orthodox Kypseli Publications, prints several interesting books mainly on saints and Mount Athos, Greece. Enjoyable book!

"The Patriarchate of Antioch throughout History: An Introduction" by Archbishop Joseph Tawil.

"Spiritual Counsels III: Spiritual Struggle" by Elder Paisios of Mount Athos. Awesome little book here! I bought it on eBay of all places, for a very good price! I want to get all the books in this series, which I think is four so far. Well, I still have hundreds of books to read!
-------> I can't help it, I'm surrounded by books & I love love love to read! Books are better than a girlfriend and better than a pet!

A few more that are surrounding my nightstand & bed:
"Black 🌞 Sun: Aryan Cults, Esoteric Nazism, and the Politics of Identity" by N. Goodrick-Clarke. Awesome book! One of my favorite topics: the Third Reich... and the Fourth Reich!! This book is what you think it is. No, not pro Nazi or pro Hitler, just some ideas on the Esoteric SS. Remember, just because "It's OK to be White" doesn't mean you have to be a White Supremacist or hate or want to control other races!! Everyone, relax....

"Father Gerasim of New Valaam" by R. Monk Gerasim (Eliel).  Published by Saint Herman Press. One of my favorite publishers!
